This week I’ve decided to make a list of some of the recipes I found on my favorite blogs last week. These are the ones that are going on my Baking Bucket List. Hopefully, as I get better at this craziness, you’ll see them pop up on the blog.
Well, I’m excited that the week started off with one of the most scrumptious looking posts from Brown Eyed Baker. I love this blog. I think it may be my number one favorite food blog so far. Michelle posted about Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Billionaire Bars and they look so good. I seriously cannot WAIT to bake these up and put one in my mouth! (I wonder if Michelle is giving photo lessons because her pics are beautiful.) Run, do not walk, on over to her blog and check these babies out!
While cruising through my Google Reader on Tuesday I found this gem, Homemade Cherry Limeades. Now, I know this isn’t a “baking” recipe, but Cherry Limeade just happens to be my favorite drink. Darla from Bakingdom has some seriously yummy looking stuff and an absolutely adorable website. I really need to find someone to help me spruce up mine.
Wednesday and another non-baking recipe but, come on! Just the title is enough to make me drool. Courtesy of How Sweet It Is, I can’t wait to dip in to this bad boy, Hot & Cheesy Caramelized Corn Dip. Excuse me but is this for real?! Anything hot and cheesy is right up my alley, throw in the corn for a little sweet kick and the crispy bacon and I’m in heaven.
So another favorite blog of mine is Best Friends for Frosting. I’m loving everything that I find there. On Thursday Salted Whiskey Caramels popped into my Google Reader. Yes! All of my favorite things in one neat little package! I’m wondering if there’s a way to incorporate chocolate into this recipe. Maybe dipping the caramels in some really good chocolate. Hmm, might have to give that a try.
Finally I found Oreo Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownies on Blue-Eyed Bakers. Now, I don’t know when this month they posted this recipe but I just had to include it. It sounds so delicious and the pictures make my mouth water. I can just imagine how good these will taste warm from the oven with a big, huge, cold glass of milk.
So there’s my roundup for this week. I’m hoping to make this a weekly event however, I do have 3 kids and a busy Summer so we’ll see how it goes. I’m looking forward to trying out all of these great recipes and blogging about my own results. I have no doubt that I will not be able to do these justice but I’m going to love trying and eating the results.
